New Life: Theme Thursday

Good morning, lovelies.

For New Life I was envisioning adorable baby chicks, puppies, or baby lambs. I was daydreaming about flowers budding and leaves on trees unfurling.

What I got was this:

Sometimes new life isn’t that pretty, you know?  Sometimes it feels heavy and burdensome, a weight that pulls you forward, pulls you downward. Sometimes new life feels like an alligator roll in your swollen belly, but sometimes it feels like friendly questions at the market like Any day now? that only come with awkward answers like No, I still have about 8 weeks to go. {Gasp}

Don’t get me wrong: this new life inside me is nothing short of miraculous.  But sometimes miracles throw you off-balance…

But because I just cannot resist gratuitous beauty:

  1. Wow, amazing amazing picture ….!! Loving it.

    And 8 weeks left? Well, to me, that was one fast pregnancy from the time you announced the little miracle til now! Oh my goodness….I know when you’re living it,, it;s not so!

    Micaela, I cam by to link my TT but I don’t see any linky button….I do see this: <> But no p;lace to link…maybe it’s my computer? I’ll come back later to see if I can read the link button then.

    Take care!

  2. I have a picture like that from my last baby where I felt like I was huge-mongous.
    I completely get where you’re coming from with the New Life stuff. I think I felt it in some way the whole time I was pregnant this time.
