See Me Homeschool {a blog hop}

Last summer I hosted a wildly popular series called How I Homeschool, and now there’s a new take on it!  Theresa of Ordinary Lovely had a wonderful idea for a simple new blog hop.  See Me Homeschool will use (mostly) pictures to share a typical day (or days) in the life of our home.

See Me Homeschool title,buttonSimple as it may sound, it was really hard for me not to add captions to these photos.  There are so many things I want to tell you about, things that I didn’t catch on camera, or things that we just didn’t get to and an excuse as to why.  {Le sigh.}  I will henceforth shut my trap and let you see some time in our home.  (But first let me say that a couple of these photos make me laugh and laugh.  I hope you see what I mean.)

  1. Yay! I loved these! I laughed and laughed at photo no. 1 – that funny bit looks awfully familiar 🙂
    I’m usually not a weather complainer, but I have to admit – I CAN’T WAIT for our homeschool days to look like this again! The sun! The short sleeves! The bike riding! I’m more than a little jealous 😉

  3. So wonderful! I love seeing pictures like this. It reminds me that our days are “normal” for homeschooling. I am jealous of your outdoor schooling. I need to do that more often when we have nice days. 🙂

  4. Great photos!! I love seeing all of the little things you do throughout the day that really matter!!

  5. This is awesome, Micaela! Loving it—a day of HS in pics!

    Not onyl is a peek into your day just great, but the shots of your neighborhood/block/distant mountains? Oh my gosh, how cool. We live in a “beachy” area…though we never ever go to the beach. The look is vastly different than So Cal, obviously. I am so in love with the mountains…we’ve been going to the Adirondacks forever, my hubby and I with our own families growing up and now as a family we take our own kids for a week in summer upstate.

    The sunshine, shorts, bikes and trees in bloom is amazing to see at this time of year. We’ve sort of taken for granted that permafrost is a way of life for another month or sohere! And that’s fine. But so great to see others’ lifestyles too!

    Your little one is more precious with each day!!

  6. The car in the cup in the first picture is hilarious. And your gorgeous weather rather steals the show for those of us wrapped in snowy cold today. 🙂 What a lovely homeschool day. I enjoyed seeing your photos.

  8. I loved all the photos, and I’m already worried about how NOT to share a little bit about each one but I agree that sometimes the glimpse without words speaks volumes more.

  9. Awesome photos of such a fun, full-looking life. 🙂 So many smiles (and how could you possibly have a sweeter baby??) – I’m smiling now, too. Such a delight to “meet” you and your family.
