Five Favorites on the Web This Week

My favorites from clicking around the interwebz this week!

It would be more modest, more becoming, more seemly if I waited until later to share this but, oh, I am just so excited I can’t wait.  My very first non-California to Korea post is up @ the Catholic Exchange!!!  If you read this blog regularly, then you may have already read it because it is in fact a re-print of something I wrote a couple weeks ago, but STILL!  Click over and read it again, wouldja?  It’s under a different title, but it’s me!  My words, my photo.  I’m sorry to be so giddy about it, but really, I am just so… giddy!

What are you waiting for?  Click on over to read God Made Us Simple and Complex right dang now!

Bonnie over at A Knotted Life shared a Halloween book that she and her friend Katie put together, and it is great!  It combines the history of Halloween with the Catholic celebration of All Saints Day, with some fun coloring activities.  Click the image below to see the whole thing.  There are even separate coloring pages for little ones.

Do you like music?  How about a capella music?  Yes?  Of course you do!  Listen to and watch this amazing song.  One man, singing 9 different parts of the hymn I Need Thee, O I Need Thee.

Kevin and I make different parenting choices than a lot of people.  I could make a long list of those choices, but probably you already know some of them and maybe I don’t need to scare you off by getting all specific.  Still, I’ve often wanted to say what this author says to my friends and family.  My Choice to Parent Differently Does Not Imply Your Way is Wrong.  Read it and know that I love you, and I respect you, no matter how far apart we are on the parenting spectrum.  We’re all fighting the good fight, right?

Finally, if you need a laugh and like to read toddler/preschooler speak, head on over to this post @ Rosie at A Blog for My Mom.  Her kids are some of the funniest around.  I was in tears-of-laughter by the end of it.

Head on over to Hallie at Moxie Wife (I just love saying Moxie Wife.
I think it might be my favorite blog title ever.) for more Five Favorites.
UPDATE!  The link-up is actually over at Jenny at Mama Needs Coffee. Click on over now!

  8. So is there a backstory on how you got to be on Catholic Exchange? I presume that they don’t just accept any old post that “gets thrown over the transom” (boy, that dates me! I wonder how many people know what that refers to?)

    • Actually, anyone can submit to CE. Go to their home page and click on Contact (I think) and there are instructions on how to submit. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me. 🙂
