Happy 8th birthday! You are a credit to us, as Anne of Green Gables would say. Your heart is so big, and you approach things with such a zest and a passion for life and all it holds. You have your father’s easy smile and quick laugh and your mother’s stubbornness. What a combination!
Tonight as we had a rare time to attend Mass alone together, my heart swelled with pride for you. You are still such a sweet little girl, falling asleep on my shoulder during the homily, and yet such a wonderful young lady, preparing your heart for your First Holy Communion. I know you will continue to grow in love and faith and laughter, and I will enjoy every moment of watching you do so.
I love you, sweet girl. You know I do.
